08/03/2023
Feminism is the desire for freedom, a deep, visceral longing for overcoming conditions that are not bearable, unfair, not sustainable." - Rosi Braidotti
RMIT Culture is proud to be collaborating with the Design and Creative Practice Enabling Impact Platform to have brought you this riveting talk from celebrated philosopher and feminist theorist Rosi Braidotti. In this lecture she explored the topic of Posthuman Feminism, and offered a new perspective on feminist theory. Her inspiring call to action argued for the need to move beyond traditional human-centered approaches and embrace the complexities and possibilities of the posthuman condition, in order to achieve meaningful social change.
This event was supported by the Melbourne City Revitalisation Fund, a Victorian Government and City of Melbourne partnership.
