Rosi Braidotti is Diane Middlebrook and Carl Djerassi Visiting Professor 2019 at the University of Cambridge

This fall, Prof. Rosi Braidotti will spend several weeks at the Centre for Gender Studies of the University of Cambridge as Diane Middlebrook and Carl Djerassi Visiting Professor. This professorship was endowed by the late Carl Djerassi in honour of his wife Diane Middlebrook. Both Middlebrook, who taught feminist studies at Stanford University, and Djerassi, who was one of the inventors of the contraceptive pill at Stanford, held close ties with the University of Cambridge. Likewise, Prof. Braidotti has always felt at home at Cambridge, where her publisher Polity Press is located, and is therefore very honoured to have been invited there.

As part of her Visiting Professorship, Prof. Braidotti will give a lecture on Posthuman Feminism and Affirmative Ethics at Newnham College on the 14th of October. For more information, please visit the website of the University of Cambridge Centre for Gender Studies.
