Utrecht holds every year one of the most important festivals of early music in the world. The world's top musicians, specializing in music from the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Baroque, gather in Utrecht to bring the music from a bygone era back to life.
The documentary "La Serenissima" tells the story of Venice, from its cultural wealth to the destructive impact of tourism, through the eyes of the Utrecht festival. La Serenissima, 1000 years of music from the Republic of Venice.
